Your Problem. Our Solution.

When Marketing Needs Doing but Nobody Has Been Properly Developed to Do It

Many organisations already have someone posting on social media, updating the website, creating emails or helping with campaigns. The challenge is often that they are learning as they go rather than having structured professional marketing development. This apprenticeship helps turn that existing responsibility into stronger in-house marketing capability.

Your Problem

Marketing is reactive. Someone posts when there is time, but there is no clear plan behind the activity.

Our Solution

Develop structured marketing planning.

Apprentices learn how to understand objectives, audiences and channels so marketing activity becomes planned, purposeful and connected to wider business priorities.

Your Problem

You are using several marketing channels but they do not work together as one joined-up customer journey.

Our Solution

Build genuine multi-channel capability.

Learners develop knowledge across social media, websites, SEO, email, content and other channels while understanding how those touchpoints can work together.

Your Problem

Marketing is being created without enough understanding of who the customer is or what influences their choices.

Our Solution

Strengthen audience and consumer understanding.

Apprentices learn to consider customer behaviour, audience needs, trends and insight so content and campaigns can be developed around the people the organisation actually wants to reach.

Your Problem

You are spending time and money on marketing but do not really know what is working.

Our Solution

Build confidence with analytics and measurement.

Learners develop the skills to monitor performance, understand relevant metrics and use marketing data to improve future activity rather than relying only on assumptions.

Your Problem

Marketing knowledge sits with an external agency or one experienced person, leaving little capability inside the organisation.

Our Solution

Develop your own in-house marketing capability.

The apprenticeship develops an employee while they continue working within the organisation, allowing knowledge and practical experience to stay within your team.

Your Problem

An employee has potential but needs more confidence, structure and professional marketing knowledge to take greater ownership.

Our Solution

Combine professional learning with mentoring and workplace experience.

Learners receive structured teaching, feedback and mentoring while applying new knowledge in their own workplace, helping them progressively take greater responsibility for marketing activity.

Apprenticeship Overview

Build Marketing Capability Across Multiple Channels

Customers no longer engage with organisations through one channel. They move between websites, social media, email, search, advertising and other digital touchpoints. Effective marketers need to understand both the individual channels and how they work together.

Throughout the Multi-Channel Marketer Apprenticeship, learners develop the skills to create, manage and optimise marketing activity across different platforms while connecting their learning directly to the organisation they work for.

The programme is delivered every two weeks, allowing apprentices time between sessions to apply new knowledge in the workplace, build their confidence and develop their skills progressively rather than learning everything separately from their job.

At the end of the training programme, apprentices move through the End-Point Assessment process, with a five-month EPA period included to enable them to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and behaviours developed during the apprenticeship.

What You Will Learn

Develop the Skills Behind Effective Multi-Channel Marketing

The apprenticeship develops a broad marketing foundation, helping learners understand the strategy, content, technology and data that sit behind effective campaigns.

01

Digital Marketing Fundamentals

Build a strong foundation across digital marketing, including search engine optimisation (SEO), search marketing, social media, email and content marketing. Learners develop the core knowledge needed to contribute to and optimise marketing campaigns effectively.

02

Channel Strategy Development

Learn how to develop multi-channel marketing strategies around specific audiences and business objectives. Apprentices explore how different channels can be connected rather than managed as completely separate activities.

03

Data Analytics & Measurement

Understand how to evaluate marketing performance through data. Learners build confidence analysing customer behaviour, monitoring relevant metrics and using the evidence they collect to refine future marketing decisions.

04

Consumer Behaviour Analysis

Explore how customer needs, behaviours, preferences and trends influence marketing decisions. This supports the development of more relevant content, stronger targeting and communications designed around the intended audience.

05

Marketing Technology & Tools

Develop knowledge of the technology used within modern marketing environments, including CRM systems, marketing automation platforms and analytics tools. Learners consider how technology can support more efficient, informed and productive marketing activity.

Apprenticeship Benefits

Learning That Builds Confidence and Workplace Experience

The programme combines structured development with practical experience, enabling learning to be used in real marketing situations rather than remaining purely theoretical.

Real-World Experience

Apprentices gain hands-on experience while developing their knowledge with professionals who understand marketing in commercial environments. New skills can be applied directly through workplace activity and marketing projects.

Career Development

Multi-channel marketing skills are relevant across a wide range of organisations. The programme can support employees entering marketing, progressing within an existing role or preparing to take on more advanced marketing responsibilities.

Feedback & Mentoring

Learners receive ongoing guidance, feedback and mentoring as they develop. Tutors support apprentices to connect the learning to workplace projects, strengthen their approach and build professional confidence over time.

Value for Learners and Organisations

Why Invest in a Multi-Channel Marketer Apprenticeship?

For Employees

The apprenticeship provides a structured route for employees to strengthen their marketing capability across digital platforms, including SEO, social media, email campaigns, content and data analytics.

Because learning is connected to the workplace, apprentices have opportunities to use their new skills within real scenarios. This can build confidence and competence when planning and delivering multi-channel marketing activity.

Developing specialised marketing knowledge can also support longer-term career progression. Employees may be better prepared to take on additional responsibility, move into more advanced marketing roles or pursue new opportunities as their experience grows.

Apprentices also receive guidance from experienced marketing professionals. Feedback and support can help them refine their approach, while learning alongside other people in the sector can create valuable professional connections and opportunities to share ideas.

For Employers

Investing in marketing skills can help an organisation develop capability within its own workforce. Employees who strengthen their multi-channel knowledge can apply more informed marketing approaches to business activity and growth.

Providing meaningful development opportunities can also demonstrate investment in employees, supporting job satisfaction, morale and retention while helping reduce the disruption and cost associated with continually recruiting skills externally.

Employees with stronger multi-channel capability can engage audiences more consistently across platforms, create more joined-up campaigns, improve customer experiences and support stronger conversion activity.

Apprentices can also bring new perspectives back into the organisation. Developing current marketing knowledge, technology awareness and analytical capability can help teams test new approaches, improve creativity and make better-informed decisions about marketing performance and return on investment.
